World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Job Title: Zonal Health, Nutrition &HIV&AIDS Officer
Reports to: Administratively to Zonal Manager and technically to Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS Manager
Location: Nothern Zone
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION- Coordinate the implementation of WVT strategy to scale up Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related issues according to WV standards to projects/programs and ADPs
- Take part on Strategy development at Zonal level, translate it to suit respective DIPs, PDDs in the ADPs to Promote participation of children and women in Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programming
- Guide collection of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related concepts for proposal developments
- Provide technical advice, guidance, assistance and inputs to DIPs, PDDs, AOPs on implementation of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related activities and budgets to ensure compliance with WVT standards/guidelines
- Provide technical advice, guidance and inputs to special projects/programs on implementation and integration of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related activities to ADPs
- Networking with other stakeholders to access, document and disseminate best practices on Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related projects/programs and the ADPs
- Provide supportive supervision/monitoring visit to ADPs to track progress, mentor and coach ADP staff on implementation & integration of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS projects/programs and DIPs/PDDs related activities and data capturing
- Analyze information/data of projects/programs and DIPs/PDDs on quarterly/semiannual basis to track achievements Vs budget utilization for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS relatedto projects/programs and semiannual/annual for objectives accomplishment Vs budget spending for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS relatedto projects/programs
- Timely review and submission of reports to donors for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related issues as per WV standards.
- Facilitate capacity building on Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS projects/program within the zone
- Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
- Minimum Qualification required: Advanced Diploma in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, BSc in Home Economics and Human Nutrition
- Experience: 3 yrs. experience in Health related fields
- Preferred: Degree, MPH or any Health related fields
- Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability in supervision
- Experience in working with donor funds
- Working knowledge of proposal writing
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and donors
- Work environment: Office-based with travel to the field
- Travel: 40% Domestic/international travel is required.
- On call: 5%
To provide technical advice, guidance and support in designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS grants projects/programs and to the ADPs within the zone.
